WORLD CUP PARTY!

We were so sad to see the USA team be eliminated from the World Cup Soccer on Saturday...
So...now we only have one team we are cheering for...
ARGENTINA!!!!
even Itsey got into the game though I am sure she was secretly cheering for the
Mexico Team.

We had our Argentina t-shirts and colors on for the game

and we even made cookies for the game...but I didn't get a picture before they were all gone!

I AM A GRANDMA!

WELCOME
Celes Marie
Born June 21, 2010
5:44 pm
7lbs 2 oz
19 1/2 inches
What an amazing experience to see my first grandbaby enter this world.
You would have thought that Ali was giving birth to her 10th baby...she did such a great job...Josh was her counting coach, his emotions made it hard for me to control my tears.
When Celes arrived she was not to big on the breathing thing
but with a little encouragement she was doing great in no time and was a pretty pink.Josh was so excited and happyPoor Ali had to wait about 20 mins before she got to hold her,
but Celes recognized her mom's voice and the moment was placed in her arms settled right in. Kirk and I were so excited to get to touch her
but even more to hold her
Welcome my new granddaughter
Celes I love you our sweet little grandbaby...
Grandma can not wait to spoil you!

Father's Day

I love my husband Kirk, he is truly an amazing father. He has taught our children to work hard and he has taught them to play hard too. Kira was pretty happy to spend Father's Day with her dad.Kirk likes Porter Rockwell books...so here is the newest one out.

My Father is a good man...he too taught us to work hard
and though my dad and I do not always see eye to eye...
I love him too.
Happy Father's Day to all the great men in my life.

Oh What Do You Do In The Summer Time...

The cousins are having a great time hanging out togetherand playing and playingIt has been a little loud
but the laughter is contagious
Sergio was even getting into the fun!
The younger cousins think their new cousin/uncle (Kira's really their cousin but they all call her aunt so ...) is pretty awesome.
I am just really glad that they are all together and I am with them too.

Deers Can Run Faster Than The Wind

As we were driving in the 70 MPH wind towards Thanksgiving Point we had 5 deer trying to find a place out of the wind. They found a little shelter under a lone tree.sorry it is not that good of a picture it was taken with my cell phone

1 Month~ with my new amazing heart

It is hard to believe that a month has passed since I got my new amazing heart...what a good month it has been.

FLAG DAY

On June 14, 1777, in order to establish an official flag for the new nation, the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act: 'Resolved, that the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation.'

Inspired by decades of state and local celebrations, Flag Day was officially established by the proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson on May 30, 1916. And in August of 1949, President Harry Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year as National Flag Day.

Do You FLY a flag?

The big day is here, and the granddaddy of all patriotic holidays, Independence Day, is right around the corner."
